The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 26 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will challenge Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to prove he can run Chancellor.
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will prepare their plan. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will get ready to go on vacation. And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get a visit from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Y&R spoilers tease Victor will show up at rehab to visit his son. He’ll ask if he needs anything. “I just need my dad,” Nick will reply. “It’s not easy asking people to visit me, I don’t want anyone to see me like this.” But Victor will tell Nick that he’s proud of him.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nick Won’t Delay His Recovery For Anything
Nick will then admit that when he was at the motel there was a woman with him who almost died. But something he said in a meeting made her check into the clinic. “I told her we would get through it together.” Victor will ask if he and this woman are becoming close. He’ll say he doesn’t even know her last name but he likes her.
Victor will leave and Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will join Nick and say her husband is filing for divorce. “He waited until I checked myself in here,” she’ll add. “He wanted to make sure I was trapped.” Then she’ll suggest there’s drugs somewhere in the clinic and she wants to find them.
“Will you help me?” she’ll ask. But Nick will refuse, saying he might be tempted to use as well. “I will not delay my recovery for anything, I want to get home to my kids and to my life.” Marie will say she doesn’t have a life to get back to.
Meanwhile, Jack will drop by Lily’s penthouse. She’ll hope he’s there so she can pay back the loan, with interest. “I’m afraid I’m here to tell you my answer is no,” Jack will reply. “The Abbott family has a legitimate claim on Chancellor Industries.”
Lily will ask if he’s against her and Jack will say it’s not about her, it’s about Abbott family unity. “You and Billy are going to have to work this out yourselves.” But he’ll also have a suggestion for her. Jack will say the reality is the loan was never paid off and his brother holds the winning hand. “Would it be the end of the world if you ended this right now and gave Billy this win?”
After Jack leaves, Lily will call Billy, who will tell her it doesn’t have to be ugly. He’ll suggest they meet with their lawyers. But Lily will ask if he’ll meet with her alone. So he’ll show up at Lily’s place and find her playing golf in the living room.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Kyle And Victoria Toast To The Families
They’ll joke around about how Billy got her into the sport and Lily will tell him she offered to pay the loan back to Jack. But he said it was between them. Billy will say she’s admitting Chancellor belongs to the Abbotts. “Let’s just make this clean, transfer of ownership.”
However, Lily will say she’s invested in Chancellor. “If you want me to walk away with a smile, I want you to convince me that you’re the best person to run Chancellor,” she’ll add. “I will promise you, it’s not going to be an easy sell.”
At Jabot, Victoria will show up. She’ll say her plan expands on the original competition. “I assessed the possibilities and yes, I’m interested,” Kyle will admit. She’ll ask if he’s told his father and he’ll say he and his mom are about to head out on vacation.
Kyle will say he has a concern. “Your products versus our products, your company may be DOA when Jabot’s products destroy yours,” he’ll say. “Do you wanna risk that?” Kyle will also point out she’s wearing Jabot foundation. “Would you be willing to take it off and never wear it again?”
Then Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will walk into the office. Victoria will say she dropped by to see Kyle. “This is a need to no for now,” Kyle will tell his parents. Diane will start arguing with Victoria about Victor. But Jack will say the jet is ready and they’ll head off.
Finally, Kyle will pour Victoria a drink and they’ll toast to an important moment in Abbott and Newman relations. “Can you imagine if my father saw us right now?” she’ll ask and Kyle will laugh and make a toast to driving Victor crazy. “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” Victoria will reply.
